PHILOSOPHY
At Luv, Learn-n-Laughter we provide a structured, nurturing and loving environment where children learn naturally and easily. Our program has a child centered, developmentally appropriate curriculum. Because a child's growth is most rapid during the first 9 years of life, our program promotes these important aspects of growth: social, emotional, physical, and cognitive. Children develop as a whole with each area of development enhancing the other. *We recognize that each student is a unique individual with varied backgrounds, experiences, cultures, and rates of development. *We want to help children develop to their fullest potential. We feel it is our responsibility as teachers to provide opportunities and experiences to promote children's growth in all areas. *We strive to help children develop a positive self image. We believe in doing so, they will in turn treat others with love and respect. At Luv, Learn-n-Laughter we believe the more realistic experiences children have, the greater the value and opportunity for learning and remembering. *We provide children with multi-sensory experiences which are fundamental to creative learning. We help to develop creative thinking by providing materials and by asking plenty of open ended questions. Open ended questions promote feelings of independence, of being in control and making choices. *We also offer children experiences and activities that are personally meaningful, relevant, and of interest to them to help the children apply what they have learned to new situations they encounter in real life. It is our goal and hope that your child will have fun while learning, build habits, and share experiences which will help him/her learn future skills. |
GOALS
Some of the goals we strive to achieve at Luv, Learn-n-Laughter are: 1.To foster a positive self image. 2.To encourage children to think, reason, question, and experiment. 3.To encourage pro-social behaviors such as cooperation, respect, helping others, taking turns, talking to solve problems, and following directions. 4. To respect cultural diversity. 5. To express their feelings, thoughts, and needs through singing, language, drawing, movement, music, and play. 6. To develop a positive attitude toward learning. 7. To encourage independence as the child is ready. 8. To develop neatness and manners appropriate for their age. 9. To encourage and demonstrate sound health, physical fitness, safety, and nutritional practices. 10. To teach the whole child: social emotional, physical and cognitive, with as much "Hands-on" experience as possible. January 2019, we celebrated our 25th Year!

PARENT INVOLVEMENT
Parents are a very important part of our program. Parents may volunteer their time and services in a variety of ways. Join us for field trips or share your skills and talents with us. Our door is always open to our parents and we welcome your comments and suggestions. We send home monthly newsletters, calendars, menus, and schedule periodic parent conferences to discuss your child's progress. We also inform parents of what their child did each day and any special events that took place. In addition, events and notices are posted on the parent bulletin board to keep you up to date on center happenings. We will work together to ensure the best possible learning environment for your child.
